Wu YuTai Reserves Dripping Water Tea

The Wu Yu Tai Tea Company has reserved the remaining supply of Dripping Water Tea. Yesterday afternoon, CEO Sun Weidan promised to bring relief to Principal Zhang and Dripping Water Elementary. Wu Yu Tai spokesman Mr. Sun tells reporters that after reading our article Buying Tea to Support Education, Wu Yu Tai immediately decided to reserve the unsold remaining tea. Since the student tea vendors would return to class in four days, Wu Yu Tai decided to give the students a chance to tour the city of Beijing by buying the unsold tea completely.

An Elderly Couple Helps The Children And A Young Reporter Helps His Peer

Yesterday morning at 8 AM, reporters crowded into the Temple of Earth bookstore to help Dripping Water Elementary sell their tea. Around 10:00, an elderly Hubei couple donated a box of books entitled Classic World Literature to the students. A foundation worker claims to have seen this Hubei couple yesterday buying tea. In Addition, a fifth grader donated a brand new basketball to the students after buying some tea himself. After the day's working, a reporter surreptitiously slipped a RMB100 bill on the table, and also donated 600 dollars worth of books he just won at a noon time game show to the Dripping Water students.

Many Thanks

Yesterday morning, Dripping Water Elementary's Principal Zhang and fourth-grader Chen Hujie came to our headquarters and listened and answered questions on our hotline in regards to the Dripping Water situation. Many Beijingers called to inquire into the status of Dripping Water Elementary; most wanted to help pay for the students tuition, some of our readers actually came and personally handed books and reading materials to students and Principal Zhang, who was extremely grateful to the city of Beijing. He stated on the hotline, "You are all exceptionally kind people, for everything you say and do make us feel warm and happy. The village of Dripping Water will never forget your kindness. I am sure our students will try their best in school and create a good future for themselves and our nation. I feel that that is the best possible repayment. Source: Beijing Youth News May 3, 2002
